I hope this doesn't come across as childish as I'm quite a beginner. I believe patience is one of the most important, if not THE most important virtue we need to develop in domaining!
Most of the craziest domain sales we have seen have come from domainers sitting on their domains for years without little movement and then suddenly getting sold for huge amount ( e.g. CognitiveAutomation- a recent one). Reminds me of a quote from Think and Grow Rich:
"When riches come, they come so fast and in such great abundance, that one wonders where they've been hiding in all those LEAN years!" Imo this explains domaining quite well.
I have bought certain domains and want to show the same kind of patience to wait for years till they sell. But I tried to find if there's a single place where we've compiled all the true domaining stories that exemplify this virtue of patience above all others and there isn't any.
So this is the idea: let's compile a list of "patient domaining" true stories that will inspire beginners and all others alike.
I'll start:

@richasis waited for 17 years on Nium, com but finally sold it for $90k. If you read that thread, he emphasizes that fact again and again as the most important factor.
(your personal stories, friends's stories, blog links, video links all are welcome)
