It's New Year's Eve in a few days. I find late December is normally a good time to sit down and take stock of the past year. I'll be joining domainers from all over the world in looking through domain name portfolios to sort the wheat from the chaff. What went wrong in 2021? What went right? What was learnt (especially on Namepros)? What was won or lost? What is the strategy for the year ahead? What are the emerging domain name industry trends?
So I asked myself what specific things will I do differently starting from new year's eve this coming Saturday? Here's my list of domain name new year resolutions for 2022

- Manage my portfolio better (with @Bob Hawkes blog posts as a guide).
- Any new domains must have search volume above 1000 / m.
- Any new domains must have C-P-C- above $ 5 / click.
- Any new domains must be one word (or short two words).
- Maintain B.2.C. domains and move towards B.2.B. domains.
- Register and develop to sell within one year from purchase.
- Spend an hour each day looking at sold domain names and sold websites.
- Speak not from opinion but from data (and always provide sources).
